About Dr. Kaplan
As of September 1, 2023, Dr. Kaplan will no longer be seeing patients at our Boca Raton location. We will continue to provide care to those who wish to stay at CLVC and will refer out to other local glaucoma specialists as needed.
Those post-operative patients or others seeking to continue care with Dr. Kaplan at his other offices, please reach out directly to South Florida Eye Health or call (954) 859-2020. You can also call us and we will help coordinate with Dr. Kaplan's Hollywood and Aventura offices.
Dr. Kaplan received his medical degree and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida wherein he served as Chief Resident as well as Chairman of the Resident Graduate Medical Education Committee. He then moved to New York City for a Surgical Glaucoma Fellowship at Columbia University. During his time in New York City, he was an Instructor in Ophthalmology at Columbia University and an Associate Professor at New York University. He was honored by being responsible for medical and surgical education for ophthalmology resident doctors. His academic pursuits involve research of aqueous dynamics to better understand pathophysiology of glaucoma.
Dr. Kaplan is a member of the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society, the American Glaucoma Society, the New York Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology
Dr. Kaplan returned to his home town in south Florida to be with his family.
